Childhood and Early Passion for Drawing

​

Daughter of a military father, Nathalie Girard grew up moving every three years. This lifestyle helped her adapt and meet people from diverse backgrounds. Her passion for drawing began at age eight while she was confined at home. During her adolescence, graphite drawing became her way to express and heal.

An International Career and Return to Canada

​

After teaching in Indigenous reserves in Quebec and international schools in Germany and Turkey, Nathalie lived in France, where she explored various creative jobs. Returning to Canada in 2014, she launched her online tutoring business in 2017, which remains her main professional activity.

Discovering Watercolor 

​

In 2021, Nathalie decided to teach herself watercolor through online courses. It was a revelation — she now paints regularly, with a special interest in Laurentian wildlife and children’s book illustrations.

Growing Passion for Doodle Art

For the 2022 Art-Thé contest, she created her first large-format 18x24 inch Doodle, loving the stained-glass-like effect. Since then, her Doodle Art creations have grown in scale and recognition.
