2025: A Year of Transition

ree

This year, the circumstances of my personal life significantly disrupted my artistic journey: selling a house, spending four months without a permanent home, buying a new one, making five moves, enduring renovations that seem never-ending (and are still ongoing), welcoming a new puppy, and adopting three little kittens. Add to that a mourning and an overwhelming workload, and you won’t be surprised to learn that I came dangerously close to burnout and that my artistic inspiration felt completely drained.

Solitude

Now living in the heart of the forest, far from the noise of civilization, time has seemed to slow down since the beginning of winter. I am finally finding space to breathe. Nature and silence nourish me, and a visceral need to create overwhelms me once more.

A More Personal Visual Language

This creative wave inspires me to explore new horizons and create artworks that truly resonate with me. I no longer want to simply reproduce a photo or a style I have already seen. I want to carve my own path into the unknown, into the realm of possibility.

This year, I realized how deeply I love color contrasts, graphic art such as my Doodle Art, varied textures, and the granulation of watercolor. I am currently working on a first piece that blends watercolor and Doodle Art, but already new ideas are bubbling: creating watercolors inspired by stained glass and mosaics, using color contrasts to convey a mood rather than a literal reality.

More to Come

The year 2026 promises to be filled with discoveries. I don’t plan on doing many exhibitions, perhaps none at all. However, I do commit to bringing you along with me through my artistic adventures.

Thank you for your support.
