Towards the Within

Third in a Nordic series with the use of 5 colors: prussian blue, oxidized red, turquoise, viridian green and white. I do the background first, and I let the scene inspire me to add realistic elements. In this one, I initially wanted to take up the theme of whales, but once the landscape was finished, the image of a canoe pervaded my mind. So, the canoe was born.
